There is this phenomenon called that ALBENO affect. Our islands are super tiny and cannot absorb the sun rays and heat, plus we are surrounded by a minimum of 5000 miles of water in all directions. Remember, water reflects the sun. EVERYWHERE ELSE around the planet, the landmasses absorb the sun rays and heat, but here on our islands, there is nothing to absorb the suns rays, and then the water intensifies it!
I'm Kim, an esthetician for 20 years here in Maui. I've had the pleasure of working on tourists and celebrities for over 17 years and have seen how their skin responds and reacts to our unique tropical environment.
